Brother MFC-j415w printer drivers don't work

I've had good luck with my Brother j415w printer drivers in linux. For some reason the deb packages from the Brother website

are giving me a bad package message and even when I do a force all install the printer driver doesn't connect to the printer. Love the distro but no printer is a deal breaker. any ideas? Thanks.

Operator error!! Downloaded wrong driver. all is well.

I downloaded the wrong model. Yeah, I can be a little slow......

I'm sure glad it worked. As I not only don't have that particular printer, I in fact don't have a printer at all! So fixing this could have been a pretty tall task....
